Chokepoint

About

Chokepoint's goal is to balance out the exploration-oriented pacing of the previous level in the chapter by delivering a shorter but faster, non-stop, frantic experience for the player.

To achieve this goal, I designed the level around a 'flood' mechanic, which has the toxic water's level constantly rising in the three main platforming challenges, thus forcing the player to always be on the move, while providing mini safe-spaces in between to balance out the tension of racing against the rising toxic water.
